Please note : This position is open to HE and FE students studying at the University of Cumbria and also part time and distance learners.
The National Union of Students holds an annual conference, to which elected representatives of each Students' Union that make up NUS attend.
The highlight of the NUS calendar, conference conducts a wide range of business from electing the leadership for the upcoming year to voting on and ratifying national student policy. Delegates from every NUS affiliated student organisation across the UK attend this vibrant and cosmopolitan event, accommodation and food is provided and transport from the main University of Cumbria campuses is often laid on. The students returned by the election to be delegates will form a block representing the UCSU student body led by the Students' Union President.
Standing for this position gives you an unparalleled opportunity to witness and participate in the innermost workings of national student politics, and all candidates must be free on the days of conference and be ready to travel.
