The Student Director is a Cross-Campus position that sits on the Universitys Board of Directors, the Executive Body for all of the University of Cumbria. This is a high profile role that represents students at the very highest level, and a working understanding of educational policy (or at least an interest in it) and excellent communication skills would be desirable. As the chosen representative of the student body the Student Director must be able to attend all Board of Directors meetings and report back to the Union Council and, if required, relate the policy or opinion of Union Council in relation to a given matter back to the University Board of Directors. Even though this position is elected through the Students' Union democratic mechanisms it is officially a University role, one that the Students' Union supports and encourages. Student Directors are not full voting members of Union Council but are permenant 'invited guests' that may address and debate with the Union Council. Cross Campus Positions - Student Director
