What is the Students' Union?

You are the Students' Union. I am the Students' Union, and together we are a separate and independent organisation that is here to support, represent and provide for our members. Young or old, we all stand together seeking the best quality education we can get from the University, and the Union helps fight for that right. Everyone who enrols as a student at the University of Cumbria automatically becomes a member and also becomes a free member of the National Union of Students (NUS). Both of these organisations are based entirely around enhancing the student experience and being a member brings you some great benefits. Please take time to have a look around our site to find out what you as a member can benefit from The Students' Union. We pride ourselves on having a wide variety of staff and volunteer officers geared up to help and provide you with all the information and advice you need. With excellent links in the University, community and country we have the resources to help you with pretty much anything, and if we cant, we will put you in touch with someone who can.

Please remember every student is a member of the Union, whether you are Full or Part Time, 18 or 80, we want you to get in touch to tell us how we can champion your rights.
