My name is Laura Brocklehurst and I have been at the
Whist being at the University of Cumbria, I have played an active role through many aspects, ranging from being part of the student committee of early years, being an officer of the SU for two years and helping on many volunteer projects.
Being your Student Trustee consists of attending certain meetings and being able to voice your opinions and help make important decisions for the future of the university, I think I would be a great candidate for this role as I have seen changes happen to the structure of university over the past three years and feel that I could help this process for the better. I would love to have this opportunity as it would give me a greater insight into how decisions are made for us the students.
I am a very outgoing person who likes to listen to everyone if they need me. I feel I am a likable person who has had a lot of experience within a team environment. I have an optimistic personality and many describe me as loyal, dedicated and entertaining. These qualities will help you trust me to be YOUR student trustee.
