Calling all 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students…
Did you know you can now gain academic recognition for your volunteering activities? Well you do now! You can receive 20 credits on your University transcript for your time spent volunteering!
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to receive extra recognition for something you’re already doing! You’ll need to demonstrate that you have committed 40 hours to volunteering this academic year and provide a reflective log with diary and notes (4000 words equivalent). Tutorial support, in relation to raising awareness of the broader skills being developed, can be conducted over the phone by appointment.
This is a great opportunity to gain ‘softer graduate skills’ alongside your degree and ensure all the work you’re putting in to volunteering is rewarded not only in the ability to articulate how much you have achieved through your experiences as a volunteer, but in your University transcript too. Just think of your CV and how this will make your job application stand out from others!
