What do we do? The

Academic; we work to ensure you get the best from the University in terms of your academic experience and opportunities whilst at University Representation; we represent your views to the University, the local community and other people and organisations as appropriate Union Community; we aim to provide one Students’ Union for all of our members, wherever and however they study. We will provide opportunities for students to engage with the local community to promote the value of students within the local, regional and national community. We provide social space and entertainments for the development of the Student community.

Student Life; we will provide relevant and valuable advice and information services to promote the health and wellbeing of our membership. We will also promote opportunities for students to support their academic learning with shared-interest groups and sporting activities. |

Where are we going?
By July 2013 we will;
· Be entirely student-led, receiving direction from the membership
· Operate a clear communication network enabling effective and relevant communication with all of our members
· Facilitate student action; empowering students to act on their own behalf
How we are going to get there?
Our democratic systems will allow any member to contribute and influence the
- Our services and opportunities will be relevant and widely available to our membership
- We will use varied communication channels to understand the needs of our members in the four key areas in which we operate
- We will make effective use of the expert resources available to us in the areas in which we work, drawing wherever possible from the pool of student talent
- Our resources will be appropriately distributed towards achieving our objectives within the key areas which we work
- We will own and manage a legitimate and effective course representation system
