Union Executive

Union Executive meet regularly as a team to ensure that the wishes of the Trustee Board and direction as defined by policy routed through the Assemblies and General Meeting are being carried out. They are often mandated to carry out research, to draft policy and other documents, and form the main bridge in between the elected officials, Trustees and the UCSU Staff Management Team. Union Executive are responsible to the Trustee Board and held accountable by the General Meeting.

As the Union Executive usually meets more frequently than any other group they are often called to make day-to-day decisions about levels of your Union’s activities, in partnership with the employed managers of the Students’ Union. This level of representative input into operational matters can be a fine balancing act between pressing the views of the membership and ensuring the long term stability of the Students’ Union.

This committee comprises of the four full time Sabbatical Officers, three part time Campus Representatives and eight part-time Executive Representatives.
