Mental health crisis

If at any point you feel that you are so out of control that you are concerned that you might cause harm to yourself then it is vital that you speak to someone about your feelings, or you may be concerned about the Mental health and well being of another student. You can confide in the Students' Union student Advisor, or any member of University staff that you feel comfortable talking to about your feelings. Bear in mind that whoever you speak to within the University, they may have a duty of care to protect your well being and depending on what you disclose they may not be able to keep what you say confidential - for your own sake. However, it should be made clear what information will be shared and about what may happen.

If you feel that you would like to speak to someone external to the University then you could contact your Doctor or a public organisation or charity such as:
The Samaritans, or you can contact NHS Direct.
