We have over 30 members and won the society of the year award last year.

What are you aims and objectives of the club/society?
•    To frequently organise walks to nearby locations including the Lake District and the Peak District. To alternate these walks between gentle, flatter walks and more strenuous hill climbs.
•    To frequently organise climbing sessions that cater for members of all abilities.
•    To organise weekends away, which will involve walking and climbing.
•    Dependant on interest, and qualifications, to start organising paddling events.
•    To put members with more specialised outdoor interests, in contact with each other and to support them in any organisation or events for the club.

Do you have any great success stories?

Last year, as well as running frequent walks and climbs, we had a highly enjoyable weekend away, where we camped, walked and climbed in the Peak district.
We won the society of the year award.

What are you hoping to achieve through your club/society?
We are able to organise a range of activities that cater for all abilities, so there will be something for everyone, so that people involved can come to enjoy themselves, meet new friends and admire the scenery!
