Its really easy to start a club or society with our 5 easy steps:
Pop into your local SU Office to collect forms from an Activities Coordinator.
Hold a meeting to elect members for specific positions including Chairperson/ Captain, Treasurer, Secretary and decide the aims of your group.
Forms are approved by the Executive Committee for affiliation to the Students' Union and this creates your bank account.
All members of groups affiliated with the Students' Union must be insured to safeguard you from any incudents or accidents. These cost £5 per year per member and are obtained from your group.
Start meeting regularly, fundraising for trips and kit, holding socials, updating your group's info page on our website or apply for an Activity Development* Grant to develop your group.

* Grants will be awarded on the basis of how the money would be spent to develop the group, their track record including account management, commitment of members, attendance at previous activities and how much funding is available at the point of application.
